Valspar and Sherwin Williams

This is not common knowledge but earlier this year Sherwin William bought Valspar. I have been asking myself what this will mean for our customers that have used Valspar paint in the past. Valspar Duramax has been our go to exterior pant for years. It has been very good and I hope Sherwin Williams does not monkey around with it and keeps the Valspar brand. I do like some of Sherwin Williams products but they are high in price most of the time. Valspar Duramax is not cheap either but reasonable. I hope they continue manufacturing the respective paints where they do now and not combine them just to save themselves money. We will be closely watching this over the months ahead. We may have to start using another brand altogether if they do. If you are a former Valspar customer I urge you to send Sherwin Williams a email with your concerns. I am not sure if this deal is final I can not find out on the internet as of yet. I will keep trying.
